Boredom in the mobile home in nowhere USA - somehow gotta make it home to Richmond V.A.
For the second year in a row, Vinyl Conflict Records is presenting Southbound 95, a group show featuring nine active photographers documenting the past, current, and future punk scene in Richmond.
This show is an attempt to present all aspects of Richmond punk, from dingy house shows to venues packed with crowd of thousands. It is based on the belief that punk is fundamentally, a living, breathing and constantly evolving thing - both musically and culturally. While the images to be presented as part of this show are by no means an end all, be all as to what is and isn’t Richmond punk, it is an attempt to be part of that ongoing conversation.
The show will run from July 26th to August 4th at Vinyl Conflict records. The opening show on the 26th starts at 5pm and goes until 8pm.
It will feature work by Dave Brown, Jessica Jirapinya, Chris B Larson, Jake Mayday, Jonah Livingston, Charlotte Mooney, Erik Phillips, David Morton, & myself.
Prints will be for sale and maybe some other cool stuff - hope to see you there!
